Poetic Oil Landscapes
Ohio

Immersed in the art world is just where Jennifer King wants to be. Jennifer has served as the editor of four leading art magazines in the US: The Artist's Magazine, International Artist, Plein Air and Fine Art Connoisseur. Over more than 10 years in the art publishing business, she has had the opportunity to meet and interview many of the finest living artists of our times, including Will Barnet, Harvey Dinnerstein, Daniel E. Greene, Clyde Aspevig, Sam Adoquei, Scott Christensen, Everett Raymond Kinstler, Mary Beth Mackenzie, Dean Mitchell, Dan McCaw, and many others.
Inspired by their passion for art, Jennifer King returned to her own love of painting, studying with figurative painter Tina Tammaro. Through this experience, she discovered her love of landscape painting, which for her, acts as a visual metaphor for human emotion. Says the artist, "I would not be able to share my vision of the world through art if it weren't for the many artists, past and present, who have taught me to see, think, and paint. I thank the California State University at Fullerton instructors and other workshop teachers I've studied with. I thank Constable, Corot, Pissarro, Inness, and Diebenkorn for their legacy of great landscape painting. And most of all, I thank my friend and mentor, Tina Tammaro, for her patient tutelage, encouragement, and faith. Because of them, I am living my dream."
Living the dream now means painting primarily outdoors, but also in her home studio in Cincinnati, Ohio. Jennifer King also continues to serve as a lecturer and competition juror for various art organizations across the country, such as the Cincinnati Art Club. Jennifer is currently represented by the Wheat Ridge Gallery in Adams County, Ohio. As a confirmed landscape artist, her future goal is to use her experience in the art world to raise awareness for the need to protect our environment.
